Fostering connections with our students

To start the year, the staff wanted to begin fostering connections with Hamilton students.  The staff made an effort to make meaningful connections with some students not in their classrooms.  We really wanted our students to know that there were adults who genuinely cared for them.  

This excercise was revisited at every staff meeting.  This was a valuble experience for the staff.  

We wondered:

  • "Would our students know that there were adults at the school they can turn to for support?"
  • "Can our students name at least two adults in the building who believe he or she will be a success in life?"
