Data From This Year’s easyCBM Reading Assessments
This schematic shows the data over the year for one student. The jump in percentile from September to December represents intensive 5 days per week of Reading support form a Resource Teacher. While the numbers plateau and then lower from December to June this is due to the decrease in the resource support available (3 days per week) and the increased difficulty of the reading passages. Overall, we saw significant increases in all our students, especially when we were able to provide them with more intensive reading support. This evidence shows we are on the right track for supporting our student’s reading abilities by assessing them early in the year, providing intensive reading support for those who are below their grade level, and re-assessing throughout the school year.
